Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer- Buffalo, NY

Keller Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of Special Machinery, Automation Systems and Contract Manufacturer of Industrial Equipment is currently seeking an individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mechanical design of automation equipment. The individual must have the capabilities to assist in concept development, supplier evaluations and customer presentations. The successful candidate must possess a BSME and a solid background in the design and manufacture of automated machinery. Other requirements include the knowledge of machine components, geometric tolerances, machining/fabrication processes, machine controls, pneumatics, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Mechanical Project Engineer – Charlotte, NC

Keller Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of Special Machinery, Automation Systems and Contract Manufacturer of Industrial Equipment, is seeking an individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical design of custom industrial machinery and systems. The individual must have the capabilities to design mechanical machinery and systems in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Working knowledge of the geometric dimension and tolerancing, part machining, fabrication and inspection processes, part material selection and finish coatings, and general electrical controls interface knowledge. Candidate must also have abilities to assist in concept development, supplier evaluations/selection and customer presentations. The successful candidate must possess a BSME degree.

Project Manager – Charlotte, NC

Keller Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of Special Machinery, Automation Systems and Contract Manufacturer of Industrial Equipment, is seeking an individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Management. The individual must have the capabilities to provide project leadership, be organized, and be able to oversee multiple projects of various sizes and complexities. Responsibilities will include budget and cost control, project schedule, technical oversight, customer interface, and proposal development.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and should have a strong knowledge of machinery manufacturing and fabrication. Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment are essential. Minimum of five (5) years PM experience is required.

Electrical Project Engineer- Charlotte, NC

Keller Technology Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of Special Machinery Automation Systems and Contract Manufacturer of Industrial Equipment, is seeking an individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical design and programming of industrial automation equipment. The individual must have the capabilities to design and program custom machine controls using AutoCAD, Computers, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, servo motors and assembly robots. Candidate must also have abilities to assist in concept development, supplier evaluations/selection and customer presentations.

The successful candidate must possess a BSEE with a working knowledge of national electrical code, NFPA 79, ISO 13849, ANSI/RIA R15.06, GAMP, and AutoCAD.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone highly motivated with a strong work ethic & desire to bring cutting edge leadership, QC, and inspection/code solutions to join our Quality Control and Inspection team as the department manager. All training will be provided as needed.

The primary responsibilities of this role will be:

Leadership

  1. Daily Shop Floor QC and Inspection department leadership and team development including: coaching and mentoring as well as creating ownership and a team culture.
  2. Lead and participate in meetings as well promote growth and cutting edge thinking; act as an integral member of the KTC shop floor leadership team.
  3. Daily ownership of QC department schedule, inspection and ASME plan, and application of resources.
  4. Continuous and process improvement involvement.
  5. Create team involvement, expectations, and accountability.

Technical

  1. Quality Control department work schedule
  2. Research Quality, Inspection, and calibration equipment/upgrades
  3. Plan and Coordinate training of personnel to ensure maximum work flexibility
  4. Manage and coordinate ASME Section VIII Div. 1 code requirements
  5. Oversight of Quality and inspection related KPI’s and programs: non-conformances, calibration, drawing redlines, testing.
  6. Develop methodology of Inspection: includes estimating, quoting, and planning for the QC/Inspection department.
  7. Work independently or as part of a team and make sound decisions, develop plans, and solve departmental challenges.

Development

  1. Continual development of personal and departmental skills to enhance KTC capabilities.
  2. Continuous education on Quality, inspection, lean/process improvement, and inspection capabilities
  3. Contributing member of KTC leadership team and cultural environment

Requirements:

  1. High level of problem solving ability – capability to improve current processes
  2. Ability to estimate Inspection for quotation.
  3. Proficient in Quality Control methodologies, Inspection processes including implementation of technology, and process improvements.
  4. Code proficiency; preferably ASME Section VIII Div. 1 pressure vessel.
  5. Well-developed understanding of GD&T tolerancing and ability to assist inspection personnel in applying inspection methods to achieve accurate results.
  6. Progressive Leadership responsibilities and can-do attitude.
  7. Ability to coach and mentor others. This includes Quality Control methodology and development of leadership pipeline.
  8. Highly motived team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  9. High degree of ownership, willingness to learn, and desire to make those around you better
  10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  11. Engineering Tech., AAS/BS preferred; comparable job experience will be considered.
  12. Full Time Position, Some Travel Required, Overtime Required when Necessary.

Seeking a highly motivated person with a strong work ethic and ability to bring alternative technical solutions to join our team of machinists.  Training will be provided as needed.  The primary responsibilities of this role will be:

 

  1. Operate 5-axis machining center, CNC Horizontal Boring mills (s) in cellular configuration
  2. Machine shop math, blueprint reading, set-up and tool selection, some Machine shop floor programming using MasterCam
  3. Work alongside teammates (programmers, machinists, engineers) to develop or optimize machining processes
  4. Develop and improve fixturing, and tooling
  5. Participate in lean and six-sigma work teams
  6. Participate in meetings and promote general job safety

Qualifications:

  • Must be an ambitious person willing to learn and grow within our organization
  • Highly motived team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • High degree of ownership and willingness to learn
  • High level of problem solving ability – desire to improve current processes working with programmers and complementing machinists

2ND Shift CAD/CAM Manufacturing Engineering Programmer – Buffalo, NY

Job Summary:
Work directly with our manufacturing department in providing advanced programming for simultaneous multi axis machining and complex geometries using Mastercam on 2nd shift.  At times may assist in set-up & tear down of multiple machine tools.  Work on multiple CNC machine tools.

  • Experience Level:  Five years’ experience preferred (training provided as needed)

  • Work with and improve machining technology and processes –  programming and simulation using MasterCam and Vericut, some multi-machine 5-axis Cell machining and set-up assistance

  • Develop Mastercam Programs to assist highly skilled CNC machinists with efficient toolpath support on challenging projects on 2nd shift.
  • 3D Modeling of parts, fixtures, tooling relating to the set-up of projects.
  • Work closely with management and various departments in evaluating customer needs relating to machining requirements.
  • Participate in lean and six-sigma work teams
  • Participate in meetings and promote general job safety

 Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate projects for appropriate tooling requirements to determine most efficient utilization of several multi-axis machine tools.
  • Assist in set up & tear down of multiple CNC machine tools (Fanuc & Heidenhain control)
  • Run multiple CNC machine tools in a cell environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be an ambitious person willing to learn and grow within our organization

  • High degree of ownership and willingness to learn and keep up with technology and modern machine shop practices
  • A college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Experience and/or understanding of SolidWorks, Vericut, Space Claim and DNC networking a plus.
  • Candidate should have extensive knowledge of advanced programming techniques for simultaneous multi axis machining and complex geometries with a thorough understanding of 3D modeling.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing support skills in fundamental machining practices, including good work holding techniques and tooling applications.
