Sustainability & Climate Action

Advancing Precision Manufacturing with Environmental Responsibility

At Keller Technology Corporation, our commitment to precision and innovation goes hand in hand with our responsibility to reduce environmental impact. As a premium U.S.-based contract manufacturer, we recognize that our operations, and those of our customers, must reflect sustainable values and measurable climate goals.

Keller has set an ambitious target: to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 21% over five years, using 2024 as our baseline (1844 metric tons), resulting in KTC having GHG emissions equal or less than 1,456 Metric Tons by 2029. This commitment is more than a pledge, it’s a structured strategy rooted in action, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Our Climate Strategy

We are implementing a multi-pronged plan to reduce energy consumption, increase operational efficiency, and transition toward cleaner power sources across our facilities.

1. Energy Efficiency Enhancements

We are actively upgrading production equipment, facility infrastructure, and utility systems to reduce energy intensity. This includes:

  • Retrofitting legacy equipment with energy-efficient alternatives
  • Upgrading lighting systems to LED
  • Improving HVAC, compressed air, and water systems for optimal energy use

2. Transition to Renewable Energy

  • We are reducing reliance on fossil fuels through:
  • Purchasing renewable energy credits (RECs)
  • Sourcing off-site renewable electricity where available

3. Employee-Driven Innovation

  • Our team members are directly involved in identifying and implementing energy-saving measures. We promote:
  • Continuous improvement culture tied to sustainability goals
  • Cross-departmental collaboration on emissions reduction projects
  • Site-specific tracking of energy KPIs

Our Emissions Reduction Goal

Target:

  • 21% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2029
  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from natural gas, fuel use, and company operations
  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity
Our baseline year is 2024, with ongoing progress reviewed annually and shared transparently with key stakeholders.

Environmental Management & Reporting

Keller operates under a disciplined approach to quality and sustainability:

  • ISO 9001:2015 Certified
  • Environmental management principles aligned with ISO 14001
  • Internal audits and review cycles to identify opportunities and ensure accountability
  • Periodic progress updates to stakeholders and customers

We are also evaluating future participation in third-party frameworks such as the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to validate long-term reduction goals.

Sustainability in Manufacturing Operations

Sustainability is integrated into our decision-making at every level. This includes:

  • Incorporating sustainability assessments into new capital investments
  • Designing for longevity, efficiency, and low-impact manufacturing in collaboration with our customers

Why It Matters

Our commitment to sustainability is driven by more than compliance, it’s an extension of the quality, reliability, and long-term thinking our customers expect. By reducing our operational emissions, we help our clients meet their own ESG and supply chain goals, while creating a more resilient manufacturing environment.

Whether you’re a sourcing manager, engineer, or program director, partnering with Keller means gaining a supplier who shares your vision for responsible innovation.
